Legitimate Reasons for Processing Your Personal Information

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. In this instance, we only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

• Special Purpose 1 – Security, fraud prevention and error fixing. We process IP address, device characteristics and ad interaction data to detect invalid traffic (e.g. bot impressions or clicks), protect our ad-serving infrastructure, and diagnose rendering errors. Our interest, and that of advertisers and publishers, is in a secure service and accurate, non-fraudulent delivery. This processing is limited to what is technically necessary.

• Special Purpose 2 – Delivering and presenting ads. Your IP address and device characteristics are necessarily used to transmit the ad to your device and render it correctly for your screen and browser. Without this, the ad cannot be shown.

• Balancing. This processing does not build profiles, does not use cookies or device identifiers, and is not used to target you. We consider that it does not override your interests or rights.
